Free Tier Watch

What the free tiers actually allow

Most "best free hosting" guides are quietly out of date, and a few are wrong in ways that cost money — Vercel's Hobby plan bans ads, payments and donations; Ezoic moved to a 250,000-user minimum in February; MailerLite cut its free plan by 80% in June; Fly.io has no free tier for new accounts at all.

Every number below was read from the provider's own pricing, limits or terms page, and carries the date it was checked. Where a provider stopped publishing a figure, this says so instead of repeating a stale one.

The comparison

Filter by what you're picking. The commercial use badge is the one most guides omit, and the one most likely to bite you: it answers whether that free tier permits you to earn money on it at all.
